Abstract

[eng] This study seeks to bring out similarities in the growth patterns of agro-food industries in Italy, France and West Germany, and also to point up those factors accounting for differences. This study is based on the assumption that change within the agro-food industry can be chiefly macro-economic analysis of the factors of growth shows some correlation as regards the forces activating change within the agro-food industry. However, both the rates and the thoroughness of change differ widely. The particular circumstances of overall socio-economic development in each of the three countries may explain structural differences which remain appreciable between the agro-food industries in Italy, France and West Germany.
