Abstract

[eng] The decline of productivity growth has been in the United States the subjects of many works. This paper tries to present an evaluation of the writings in the fields. We first show the limits of standard methods of quantitative macroeconomics. We consider then a set of works focusing on the evolution of productions methods and firms. These works are less formalised and coherent than the previous ones, but they help for a better understanding of the questions underlying the productivity crisis : industrial conflics, technological crisis and manufacturing problems, structures and management methods of the corporation.
