Abstract

[eng] Abstract The new education is a complex set of ideas and pedagogical methods which appeared at the turn of the XXth century in nearly all the European countries. The schools belonging to that movement, which was inaugurated in 1889 by the creation ofAbbotsholme, the 1st new school in England, were about sixty throughout Europe at the eve of World War I, and bear different names according to the countries but they all have in common the experimentation of a new training for the young.
