Abstract
[eng] Abstract The comparison of the minutes of proceedings for beatification regarding Paul of the Cross with excerpts from his correspondence allows to study the revival of the mission in the 18th century Italy, in the specific frame created by the new Congregation of the Passion. Thought as the application of a clearly defined programme, the passionist mission unifies action and contemplation by considering them no more as the alternating times of a vita mixta, but as the codified outer manifestation of an overbundant inner life. This manifestation implies immutable series of sequences which go to create a kind of holy drama. The scenography is based less on the preached exercices than on the contact with elemnts revealing a missionary habitus in the preacher's attitude. The impact of the mission, dependent on the social and economic statements of the visited areas, the neglected countries of Central Italy, can be so changeable taht the repetition of the experience is always necessary.
