Abstract

[eng] Abstract The studies of aristocraties can 't be founded only on quantitative methods : a qualitative history should have recourse to patterns in order to practise the prosopographie. applied to the nobility of Napoléon, created in 1808, this method throws light on the respons offered by the Empire to the « élites » crise and shows the process of social mobility. It's also a way to know a definition of a social group, to discover the fondamental function of the networks in « élites » society and the modern characteristics of the napoleonic aristocraty.
