[eng] Abstract In 1942-43, electricity generation showed a marked upsurge in France. Whilst the Germans doubtless had an interest in seeing the French grid rehabilited, the part played by the Comité d'Organisation de l'Énergie Électrique appears equally unquestionable : not only did ensure that energy output was distributed most efficiently, it also drew up a forward-looking future equipment strategy. [fre] Résumé En 1942 et 1943, la production électrique de la France connut une sensible reprise. Si les Allemands avaient sans doute intérêt au relèvement du réseau français, le rôle du Comité d'Organisation de l'Énergie Électrique apparaît lui aussi incontestable : non seulement il assura au mieux la répartition du courant, mais encore il sut définir une stratégie d'équipement pour l'avenir.
