Abstract

[eng] Abstract : The study of the archives of the Metropolitan Police for the six years 1885-1890 leads to new ideas on homicidal criminality. Actually, in most cases a crime is a «home» affair, criminal and victim being close to each other; most of them belong to the lower middle class rather than to the working class. Motivations are essentially of private and personnal relevance, and this reduces the importance of social and economic conditions in this kind of deliquency.
