Abstract

[eng] Abstract : Victorino Montera del Aguila is the author of a famous anonymous manuscript "Estado Politico del Reyno del Peru" which appeared in 1742. He was considered by specialists as a precursor for peruvian indépendance. In this article, we plan to show that Montera contribued unintentionally to create the Peruvian particularisms. Indeed, Montera supported the organicist conception and the unity principle for the Spanish Empire : Peru, as a kingdom, was linked to the other Spanish kingdoms ; diversity must lead to complementarity. Montera in that time was anxious about Spain decline and saw accurately the problems of the Empire. Precarity, vulnerability, political absence, distended relations with Spain are denounced in his manuscript. His objective was to exorcize and to reduce these difficulties. And paradoxically, for many Peruvian elites, his in depth analysis emphasized the facts and led to new ideas and attitudes.
