[eng] Employment in trade from 1962 to 1986 : rupture in 1968 and 1982 - Employment in trade represents nearly 12 % of total employment and nearly half of industrial employment. Since the beginning of the 1960s, the proportion of the feminine labor force has progressed, as has that of the salaried class. Wholesale trade, however, has remained a masculine stronghold, while company managers are still more numerous in retail trade. For twenty-five years, employment in trade has evoled in a particular way. Its growth slowed considerably after 1 968, but not after the first oil shock. It was only starting in 1982 that a new rupture occurred.
