Abstract

[eng] The agriculture and food industries in 1983 contrasting results - In 1983, the agriculture and food industries recorded contrasting results : negative for production, which regressed in volume, and for foreign trade, the surplus of which contracted for the second consecutive year; relatively positive for the total number of those working in the industries, for productivity and for investment. But the perspectives concerning employment seemed to be rather unfavorable due to international competition and the decision in Brussels to reduce milk production.
