Abstract

[fre] Un numéro spécial de la Monthly Labor Review (mai 1974) — l'équivalent américain d'Économie et statistique dans le domaine de l'emploi — est consacré au travail des femmes. Une telle publication est intéressante à plus d'un titre : sa présentation d'abord ainsi que la façon dont sont organisées les rubriques, le sujet traité ensuite. Comme en France, le travail féminin aux États-Unis connaît un essor rapide et les femmes se heurtent aux mêmes problèmes : salaires, formation, horaire, charges familiales. Cette chronique présente l'ensemble de la revue et, en résumé, quelques uns des principaux articles. Bien que les comparaisons soient toujours hasardeuses (nomenclatures différentes, problèmes de traduction) on a essayé de mettre en parallèle les chiffres américains et les équivalents français.
