Les vacances des Français en 1951

Abstract

[fre] En 1949, 1950 et 1951, l'I.N.S.E.E. a effectué des enquêtes par sondages sur les vacances des habitants d'un certain nombre de grandes villes françaises. Il en ressort qu'une certaine stabilisation dans les habitudes s'est réalisée au cours des deux dernières années ; les résultats concernant l'année 1951, qui sont publiés ci-après, peuvent donc servir de base pour la présente année. . On constate notamment, que la moitié de la population de ces villes est partie en vacances au cours de 1951 ; la très grande majorité des départs a eu lieu en juillet-août (86 p. 100). Le chemin de fer est de loin le moyen de transport le plus utilisé (60 p. 100). Les séjours ont eu lieu dans la proportion de 1 sur 2 chez des parents ou amis, contre 1 sur 6 à l'hôtel. Parmi les personnes qui ne sont pas parties, un peu plus de la moitié a cité le coût trop élevé comme raison principale de ce non-départ.
