Abstract

The theme of this study is the game as the anthropological and aesthetical phenomenon; it deals with Schiller's concept of game as manifestation of human liberty and Huizinga's idea of game as the source of human culture. It also attempts to consider the typology of games and plays as developed by R. Caillois as well as Fink's and Gadamer's existential and cosmological concept of game. In order to enrich the conceptions of the above mentioned theorists, the author analyzes a specific form of game behaviour - the "trifling with somebody".
