The Major Reform of Japanese Private International Law (I)

Abstract

The article focuses on the major reforms of the international private law system in Japan. The reform is set to begin with the 1st of January 2007 and it’s goal is to come up with a response to the growth of international transactions and the modernization of the legislation. This reform comes as part of the wave of legislative reforms in Japan.
