Produção e estratégia – uma breve revisão de literatura sobre as suas ligações

Abstract

Com o recurso a uma selecção de textos utilizados num curso de tópicos avançados de um mestrado, procedemos a uma breve revisão da literatura sobre o problema das relações existentes entre a produção e a estratégia. Os estudos revistos revelam a existência de diferenças de ponto de vista a respeito das questões estratégicas fundamentais entre a comunidade de académicos e os executivos e, ao contrário do que geralmente se admite em estratégia, são questões operacionais, as que merecem a primazia dos executivos. Cinco proposições, elemento fundamental na construção de teoria, são sugeridas para melhor explicar as relações entre produção (tecnologia) e estratégia.
