Trends in development of the automobile distribution and repair sector in Portugal

Abstract

Nas últimas décadas, o sector automóvel tomou-se um negócio global. Neste sector incluem-se as actividades industriais de fabricação e montagem de veículos e as actividades relacionadas com o comércio e a reparação. O afastamento dos fabricantes em relação aos clientes faz com que o sector do comércio e da reparação constitua um factor crítico para o êxito das diferentes marcas. Esta situação obriga os fabricantes a, cada vez mais, controlar e integrar as actividades de comércio e reparação nas suas estratégias de marketing. A intensificação da concorrência entre os fabricantes, à escala global, permite antecipar a ocorrência de mudanças significativas no sector do comércio e reparação automóvel no âmbito da Comunidade Europeia e, particularmente, em Portugal.
