Central Banks Interventions In The Foreign Exchange Markets

Abstract

The paper aims at presenting objectives and kinds of foreign exchange interventions which are presently conducted by central banks. On the basis of literature and experience of selected countries the author described the channels of influence of interventions on the foreign exchange rates. Also presented are various kinds of market instruments utilized by central banks to conduct the interventions.
