La pobreza: diversidad de enfoques para un solo problema

Abstract

El punto que interesa destacar en este trabajo, sin embargo, es uno de tipo metodológico. En efecto, en los. estudios recién mencionados, al igual que en cualquier trabajo sobre el tema de la pobreza, se enfrentan dos etapas ineludibles al inicio de la investigación. La primera consiste en la necesidad de especificar claramente el concepto de pobreza considerado, en base al cual se identifiquen los hogares o familias pobres. En segundo lugar, es menester es- pecificar los índices por medio de los cuales, una vez identificados los pobres, se pueden analizar sus características y la evolución de éstas en el tiempo.
