Abstract

Caroline Wildeman argues that NGOs played an important role in the Social Summit. They widened the scope of activities from implementation of projects to mobilizing public opinion and influencing the decision-makers and governments at both the national and international levels, a trend that must be strengthened in the five-year review process.
