The Teaching of Modern Economics in China

Abstract

This paper provides a brief history of the introduction of modern economics to China and discusses the current status of teaching the subject. It also deals with the choice of curriculum and issues involved in improving the current system. Finally the practice of modern economics as a profession in China is reported.
