Abstract

Este artículo analiza la promoción de la participación social a partir delcambio en la política educativa debido al Acuerdo Nacional para la Modernización de la Educación Básica firmado en 1992, enfocándose en la participación social en el espacio de las políticas públicas y los procesos de participación social en las escuelas públicas de nivel básico. Se observó cierta institucionalización de la primera dimensión y, en la segunda, un desarrollo más irregular y vulnerable ante factores de diversa índole.
