Participación política en las barriadas: actualización de una investigación

Abstract

En esta nota de investigación el autor actualiza su trabajo anterior que se centró en el comportamiento electoral de los pobres urbanos de la ciudad de Lima. Dicha investigación se detenia en las elecciones municipales de 1983. La información aquí utilizada amplia el análisis hasta las elecciones presidenciales de 1985 y las municipales de 1986. Los resultados refuerzan considerablemente las hipótesis originalmente propuestas para explicar el vacilante apoyo a la izquierda observado entre el electorado urbano pobre.
