En torno a la clase obrera peruana

Abstract

El movimiento obrero peruano, tras su tradición anarcosindicalista de comienzos de siglo, se identificó en forma ampliamente mayoritaria con el APRA. Esta identidad se modificó entre fines de los 60 y los 70: el movimiento obrero, agrupado mayoritariamente en la CGTP y en federaciones independientes, ha proclamado su identidad con posiciones marxista-leninistas. Las elecciones de 1978, 1980 y 1983 confirman la nueva lealtad: la correlación entre clase obrera y voto por la izquierda marxista es muy consistente. Sin embargo, este cambio de lealtad no parece haber sido objeto de investigación que reconozca su excepcionalidad: ninguna clase obrera latinoamericana ha registrado un cambio de identidad política.
