Abstract

El artículo es una crítica a los autores más importantes que estudiaron las causas de la inflación hace una década: los economistas monetaristas y estructuralistas. Después de una época de intenso debate intelectual se pasó a uno de esterilidad científica, sin que ninguno de ellos entendiera la profundidad del problema. El objetivo es entender las causas de la inflación y la devaluación en América Latina, señalando la importancia fundamental que tienen los grupos sociales como fuente de la inflación.
