Abstract

During long-term operation of ground-source heat-pump (GSHP) systems, the problem of imbalanced cold and hot loads arises, leading to soil thermal imbalance. In this paper, a multisource GSHP system coupled with a photovoltaic–thermal system is proposed. Based on TRNSYS software, cross-seasonal energy-regulation efficiency of the proposed integrated system is evaluated under high efficiency and stable operation, and efficiency is compared with the traditional GSHP system and GSHP with a cooling tower composite system. The results show that soil temperature does not change significantly after cooling and heating cycle of proposed integrated system, meaning that soil does not have significant thermal imbalance, achieving cross-seasonal energy regulation.
