Chinese Outward Foreign Investment in South Asia: A Case of India

Abstract

Emergence of China as an economic power is the fact of the day. China has outpaced the United States as the largest recipient of FDI in the world. Now, China is trying to keep presence in different continents of the world through Outward Foreign Direct Investment (OFDI) flows. China is increasing its presence in the South Asia. The present paper reviews the trends of Chinese Outward FDI flows in South Asia especially in India. The paper also outlines the major issues which are hampering the Outward FDI Inflows in South Asia.
