Abstract

Depuis la prise de conscience, au début des années 1900, du fait que l’exposition aux rayonnements ionisants pouvait produire des effets néfastes sur la santé, les radioprotectionnistes ont collaboré à l’établissement d’une base scientifique permettant de décrire les risques liés aux rayonnements, de recommander les principales pratiques de protection contre ces risques et d’élaborer des normes internationales et des règlements nationaux dans ce domaine.
