Abstract

La question des délais d’attente pour les interventions chirurgicales non urgentes financées sur fonds publics soulève des controverses et s’avère parfois déroutante. En particulier, alors que certains pays signalent des délais d’attente significatifs, d’autres en sont exempts. Les délais d’attente constituent un sérieux problème de politique sanitaire dans les 12 pays participant au projet de l’OCDE sur les délais d’attente (Australie, Canada, Danemark, Espagne, Finlande, Irlande, Italie, Pays-Bas, Nouvelle-Zélande, Norvège, Royaume-Uni et Suède), alors que ce problème ne se pose pas pour un second groupe de pays (Allemagne, Autriche, Belgique, États-Unis, France, Japon, Luxembourg et Suisse), dans lesquels des...
