Philosophy of Effective Investment on the Capital Markets

Abstract

The study attempts to present the peak achievements of the modern investment theory of the principles of effective investment in high-risk assets (equities) on contemporary capital markets. More specifically, the objective is to examine such key issues of this theory as the relationship and the quantitative link between the investment risk and the return on capital; the components of the investment risk, the risk assessment of an individual asset, characteristics of portfolio investments and evaluating portfolio risk, the evolution of the portfolio theory, and portfolio diversification as a method of effective risk management in investment on the modern capital markets.
