Traditions and Current Aspects in the Development of the Chemical Industry in Bulgaria

Abstract

This article is dedicated to the development of the Bulgarian chemical industry. Scientific publications examining the state and prospects of the sector have been taken into account. An analysis of key economic indicators has been made. For this purpose, data from the National Statistical Institute, Sector Analysis of the Chemical Industry in Bulgaria, and manufacturer websites have been used. The need for implementing technological innovations to achieve sustainable development and maintain high competitiveness of Bulgarian enterprises, both on the domestic and foreign markets, is substantiated.
