EU’s Trade Relations with African Economic Partnership Agreements Regions

Abstract

The article presents the main features of EU’s trade relations with African Economic Part­nership Agreements regions. The time frame of the study is 2003-2013. The analysis includes the dynamics, direction and commodity struc­ture of trade flows. The article summarises the trends in EU’s trade relations with African Eco­nomic Partnership Agreements regions. It then analyses the place of Central and Eastern Euro­pean EU member states in EU’s trade relations with African Economic Partnership Agreements regions. In the end some conclusions are drawn on the trends in trade relations – both for the EU and the Central and Eastern European countries, with a special focus on Bulgaria’s participation.
