Abstract

The current state of the housing construction market in Ukraine has been studied. Factors that contribute to its development and operation have been identified. Weaknesses and problems of the housing sector have been identified, which are as follows; reduced volume of financing; falling solvency of the population; insufficient state support; discrepancy between the amount of payments for the use of public housing and the costs for its maintenance; an imperfect system of financing the maintenance of the public housing fund. The housing has been found to be currently in crisis. In order to ensure the further development of the housing sector, the experience of foreign countries has been considered, the causes of the crisis, the economic, structural and legal factors of influence have been identified and measures of state regulation have been discussed. These categories formed the basis of the developed measures aiming to improve the efficiency of social and economic processes in the housing construction.
