Abstract

The definition and classifications of the concept "investments" have been specified taking into account the current economy development features. Modern definitions of the concept "investments" have been studied, its features, factors of influence have been considered. The revealed factors have been used as classification features of investments. The expediency of the use of such additional classification features of investments characterizing their types as: orientation of investing, type of the expected economic effect, sufficiency of information for decision-making about investing, motivation, the aim of investment of assets, the importance of aims of investing has been substantiated
