Abstract

The bank financial management system has been suggested to be formed basing on the stage of its life cycle. Approaches to defining the life cycle stages of a bank have been generalized and their composition has been substantiated: formation; rapid growth of indexes reflecting the quantitative changes in the bank operation; rapid growth of indexes reflecting qualitative changes in the bank operation; moderate growth; slow growth; early maturity; maturity; "parasitic" maturity; decline and liquidation. Financial indicators that require intensive control at each stage of the bank life cycle have been specified and priorities of management in accordance with characteristics of these stages have been identified.
