Abstract

The specifics of transformation of the economic space as a separate category in the combination of theoretical determinants that describe the economic processes of the national economy were considered. The difference in the terms "process", "change" and "transformation" were explained. The approaches, according to which scientists form the definition of transformation of economic space (process. system, situational) were determined, and their essential differences were described. The author's definition of transformation of economic space formed by means of the denotation graph method was presented. The transformation processes were proved to be natural phenomena of a phasic nature that bear a possibility for qualitative changes in the economic system with elimination of its inefficient elements.
