Commercial Function As A Basis For Effective Commercial Activity Of A Trade Enterprise

Abstract

The research of modern scientists' view concerning the essence of the commercial function was systematized. The conceptual interpretation of the commercial function is presented; the influence of the main parameters on the efficiency of the commercial function is highlighted. Based on the findings a three-dimensional model was offered to represent the dependence of a company's commercial function on the three main factors: assortment policy, logistics, and personnel management. A possibility to determine the optimal values of these parameters was proved which provide an extremum point of the commercial function effectiveness under constant parameters of the environment. The prospects and topicality of development of methodologies for evaluation of the commercial operations effectiveness were outlined.
