Abstract

The issues of corporate culture and economic security are considered separately in national and foreign literature. Important issues related to complex assessment of corporate culture impact on economic security of an enterprise and methods of its diagnosis remain neglected by scientists. Thoughthese problems should be considered holistically, in single context of financial and human capitals. The article deals with the impact of corporate culture of an enterprise on the state of its economic security. The author defines the practical importance of the elements of corporate culture that have a direct impact on economic security of an enterprise. In 1970 – 90s of the ХХ century an American psychologist C. Graves developed socioevolutional theory described by means of complexes of values which was called the spyral dynamics theory further on. The levels of development in Grave’s theory are coded by different colours from beige to yellow. Nowadays eight levels of holarchy are described. The link between the meaning of corporate culture, economic security and the color of an enterprise (levels of holarchy) was investigated. It was defined that indigo organisations with beurocratic organizational culture are the most widespread in Ukraine. This organisation is unable to enter the next level as the security threat appears. The matrix of links between corporate culture and management style, market environment, types of activities of the enterprise and holarchy level by C. Graves was developed. This matrix demonstrates their interdependence. It was concluded that the meaning of culture will be especially high at the violet, indigo and green levels. On the contrary, a distinct priority of force will be observed at the red level while orange will be characterized by money and individual freedoms and yellow will show the faith in society’s ability to self-organization and conflict resolution. The research was made in the framework of thesis of the author. Further it is supposed to continue the research at the specific production enterprises and to publish the obtained results.
