The phenomenon of distributed lifestyle and counter-urbanization processes as factors of rural and urban settlements development

Author

Abstract

Current urbanization processes in Russia are considered to be exclusively a unidirectional line of large cities permanent growth, small towns population reduction and migration of citizens from rural areas. At the same time the new ways of settlement rural areas by urban dwellers and, consequently, the new channel of sources, have not been taken into account. The article presents a review of the theoretical models, which explain the migration of dwellers from cities, and an analysis of the results of field researches conducted in attracting relocating urban residents in small municipalities.
