Abstract

In the collective bargaining round 2016 general pay increases agreed in the first six months of the year range from 2,0% to almost 3.0 % in most segments and for the next year agreed pay increases range from 1.5% to 2.5%. The average duration of the new pay agreements is 22.4 months. Calculated on an annual basis, the average increase of wages for 17.7 million employees based on collective agreements for 2016 will be around 2.5%, which is slightly below the average increase of 2.7% in 2015. In this year this will also mean a noticeable increase in real wages.
