Berufseinstiege - Promotionen - Kompetenzen: Hochschulen und Absolventen vor neuen Herausforderungen

Abstract

Der Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema, inwieweit der Wandel der Arbeitsgesellschaft und die zunehmende Bedeutung von Schlüsselkompetenzen auch bei Hochschulabsolventinnen und -absolventen zu risikoreicheren Passagen zwischen Hochschule und (wissenschaftlichem) Arbeitsmarkt führt. Die These eines zunehmend risikoreichen Berufseinstiegs lässt sich mithilfe des Absolventenpanel des Hochschul-Informations-Systems (HIS-Absolventenpanel) insgesamt bestätigen. Der Anteil der Übergänge in angemessene Beschäftigung verringert sich im Zeitverlauf. Gleichzeitig ist jedoch eine positive Entwicklung der Promotionsneigung zu beobachten. Vor dem Hintergrund der demografischen Entwicklung ist die absolute Zahl der Promovierenden allerdings gesunken und wird weiter zurückgehen. Hinsichtlich der Ziele des Bologna-Prozesses ergeben sich Verbesserungen bei der hochschulischen Vermittlung von Schlüsselkompetenzen im Zeitverlauf, die sowohl für die Promovierenden als auch die ausschließlich Erwerbstätigen in hohem Maße erforderlich sind. Abzuwarten bleibt hingegen, welchen Einfluss der Reformprozess und die Verbreitung von Bachelorabschlüssen auf die Promotionsneigung der jüngeren Abschlussjahrgänge nehmen werden.
