Der Betrieb als Ort Lebensbegleitenden Lernens?

Abstract

Der Stellenwert Lebensbegleitenden Lernens ist vielfach beschrieben worden. Unternehmen sind für die Erhaltung von Innovations- und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit auf ständiges Lernen der Beschäftigten angewiesen und diese benötigen es für die Erhaltung und Weiterentwicklung ihrer persönlichen Beschäftigungsfähigkeit. Wie aber sieht die betriebliche Praxis aus? Bietet der Betrieb ausreichende Bedingungen, um verlässlich und nachhaltig Lebenslanges Lernen sicherzustellen? Welchen Stellenwert hat dabei die betriebliche Kompetenzentwicklung, die zunehmend in den Vordergrund des Lernens im Betrieb getreten ist? Erfahrungen aus der Beratungstätigkeit der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung für Betriebsräte liefern erste Antworten auf diese Fragen. Die in der betrieblichen Praxis gewonnenen Befunde werden auf die Ergebnisse vorliegender Makrostudien zur betrieblichen Weiterbildung bezogen und vor diesem Hintergrund diskutiert.
