Der private Haushalt als Arbeitsplatzreservoir? Zur Akzeptanz und Abwehr von Haushaltsdienstleistungen

Abstract

Die Modernisierung der Lebensformen lässt auf einen wachsenden Bedarf an Haushaltsdienstleistungen schließen. Dennoch ist trotz finanzieller Förderung bzw. steuerrechtlicher Begünstigungen für die Nachfrageseite bisher kein regulärer Arbeitsmarkt für Haushaltsdienstleistungen entstanden. Der Beitrag untersucht - gestützt auf die 2007/2008 erhobenen Daten und Befunde einer empirischen Studie - die potenzielle Nachfrage nach Haushaltsdienstleistungen bzw. ihr entgegenstehende Hemmnisse. These war, dass sozio-kulturelle Einstellungen die Inanspruchnahme von Dienstleistungen im privaten Raum blockieren. Die Nachfrage wird demnach nicht nur über den Preis reguliert, sondern auch von Gewohnheiten, Einstellungen und Deutungsmustern beeinflusst. Hierzu wurden städtische Haushalte in Ost- und Westdeutschland zum einen mit Hilfe qualitativer, leitfadengestützer Interviews befragt. Zum anderen erfolgte eine repräsentative quantitative Erhebung. Die Untersuchung bestätigte die Ausgangshypothesen. Dennoch gibt es Anzeichen dafür, dass sich eine künftige Nachfrage nach regulär verfasster Dienstleistungsarbeit entwickeln kann.
