Innovationstreiber betriebliche Mitbestimmung?

Abstract

Wenn Innovationsfähigkeit als strategischer Imperativ zur Sicherung der Zukunftsfähigkeit von Unternehmen propagiert wird, eröffnen sich auch für Betriebsräte neue Arbeitsfelder. Betriebsräte können insbesondere durch ihre Mitwirkung bei der Gestaltung von Personalpolitik und Arbeitsorganisation auf vielfältigen Wegen die betrieblichen Innovationsprozesse unterstützen und betriebliche Innovationskompetenzen sichern. Die WSI-Betriebsrätebefragung 2008/09 zeigt: Innovationsaktive Betriebe zeichnen sich durch eine intensivere Betriebsratsbeteiligung aus. Auch wenn offen bleiben muss, ob Betriebsräte dabei als "Innovationstreiber" oder als "getriebene Akteure" in innovationsaktiven Unternehmen zu qualifizieren sind, legt der Zusammenhang von Betriebsratsbeteiligung und betrieblicher Innovationsleistung nahe, dass bei der Gestaltung einer "innovationsförderlichen Organisation" auch die Kooperation mit den betrieblichen Interessenvertretern auf die Agenda des Managements zu setzen ist.
