Familienbewusste Arbeitsbedingungen - (K)ein Thema für Betriebs- und Personalräte?

Abstract

Bisherige Forschungsergebnisse zeigen, dass Betriebs- und Personalräte in Unternehmen Vereinbarkeit von Erwerbs- und Privatleben nur selten zu ihrem Thema machen und aktiv gestalten. Grundlage des Artikels ist eine qualitative Studie in zehn Unternehmen, die aufgrund ihrer familienbewussten Personalpolitik zertifiziert sind. Es wird untersucht, welche Rolle die Betriebs- und Personalräte bei der Initiative, Ziel- und Maßnahmenplanung, Umsetzung und Evaluation familienbewusster Personalpolitik in diesen Unternehmen spielen. Deutlich wird, dass die Vereinbarkeit von Erwerbs- und Privatleben für Betriebs- und Personalräte auch in diesen Unternehmen eine untergeordnete Rolle gegenüber anderen Themen spielt. Obwohl sich viele Mitbestimmungs- und Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten ergeben und die Geschäftsführung das Engagement der Betriebs- und Personalräte selten behindert, nutzen die Betriebs- und Personalräte ihre Chancen meist nicht erschöpfend.
