Neue soziale Ungleichheiten und Ungerechtigkeitserfahrungen: Herausforderungen für eine Politik des Sozialen

Abstract

Der Artikel vertritt drei Thesen. Erstens: Die gegenwärtige Entwicklung in Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, aber auch anderer kapitalistisch hoch entwickelter Länder, verstößt offen und auf neue Weise gegen Gerechtigkeitsprinzipien, mit denen die jeweiligen Wirtschafts und Gesellschaftsformen bislang legitimiert wurden. Zweitens bringt sie neue soziale Ungleichheiten hervor, die die Fähigkeit dieser Gesellschaften weiter untergraben, den sozialen Zusammenhalt auf demokratische Weise, d.h. durch die Eröffnung von Partizipationsmöglichkeiten für alle Bürger, aber auch für Nicht-Inländer, die in den jeweiligen Ländern leben, zu gewährleisten. Drittens: Beide Tendenzen bedeuten nicht nur große Herausforderungen für die Sozialpolitik, sondern erfordern eine Politik des Sozialen. Darunter soll eine Politik verstanden werden, die den demokratischen Zusammenhalt der Gesellschaft selbst zum Gegenstand hat.
