Gewerkschaftliche Arbeitszeitpolitik - Eine perspektivische Bilanz der ver.di Arbeitszeitinitiative

Abstract

Der Artikel ist ein Diskussionsbeitrag zur Analyse des arbeitszeitpolitischen rollback. Er widerspricht der These, die gewerkschaftliche Arbeitszeitpolitik sei paralysiert und führt die Abwehrkämpfe gegen die Maßlosigkeit der Arbeitszeitverlängerung in den ver.di Branchen 2005 und 2006 als Beleg für eine mögliche aktive Gegenwehr an. Die Autoren ziehen eine (selbst-)kritische Bilanz der ver.di Arbeitszeitinitiative, die einen Versuch darstellte, aus der Defensive auszubrechen. Sie bewerten die Chancen für einen arbeitszeitpolitischen Aufbruch durch eine Vernetzung der Arbeitszeitpolitik mit Themen nachhaltiger Arbeitspolitik, Geschlechtergerechtigkeit und einer emanzipatorischen Familienpolitik eher skeptisch. Aus gewerkschaftlichen Abwehrkämpfen gegen Arbeitszeitverlängerung und aus erfolgreichen und kämpferischen Lohnauseinandersetzungen könne sich jedoch wieder stärkeres gewerkschaftliches Selbstbewusstsein entwickeln.
