Uso del tiempo cotidiano y del espacio de jóvenes en Mar del Plata

Abstract

El propósito de este trabajo se centra en el análisis espacio-temporal de la actividad cotidiana de jóvenes residentes de la ciudad de Mar del Plata. Mediante el estudio del uso del tiempo, se analiza la localización temporal, frecuencia y duración de las actividades diarias y su distribución espacial. La actividad diaria se estudia con el modelo espacio-temporal de la Geografía del Tiempo que aporta Torsten Hagerstrand. Como unidad de análisis, se toma al individuo concreto y se consideran las características personales, el contexto organizativo, social y económico de la comunidad. Los resultados permiten interpretar y valorar el uso del tiempo de los jóvenes, en función de las actividades cotidianas realizadas en días laborables y no laborables. Se plantea una relación entre espacios frecuentados, diversificación de actividades, tiempo de duración, distancia recorrida y medio de transporte, según sexo, edad y nivel socioeconómico de los encuestados.
