Factores que afectan la exportación de calamar a Japón

Abstract

En este trabajo se analizan los factores que determinan las exportaciones de calamar (Illex argentinus) a Japón. Previo análisis de la pesquería y del mercado japonés, se corroboró mediante dos modelos econométricos, los principales factores que afectan al nivel de exportaciones de calamar a Japón y a su valor unitario. Los factores seleccionados para explicar las toneladas de calamar exportadas a Japón fueron los desembarques realizados por poteros argentinos y charteados, efectuadas al sur de los 44º S. Los resultados obtenidos indican que dichas toneladas principalmente provienen de los desembarques realizados por poteros charteados. Los desembarques de calamar (Todarodes pacificus) y el tipo de cambio real (yen/dólar) fueron seleccionados para explicar el valor unitario de las exportaciones de calamar a Japón. El valor unitario de dichas exportaciones depende del nivel de capturas de calamar (Todarodes pacificus) rezagada una temporada y del tipo de cambio real (yen/dólar) del período anterior.
