Relación entre universidad y sector productivo

Abstract

La universidad constituye la principal institución del sistema de educación superior. Posee una historia milenaria que se remonta a los inicios de la Edad Media. A lo largo de los siglos fue acumulando una serie de funciones, acercándose cada vez más a la sociedad, en la cual desarrolla su actividad. A medida que el acceso a la universidad se fue haciendo masivo, surgieron problemas en cuanto a la manera de financiar sus actividades y si éstas sólo se debían regir por los aportes del Estado nacional. En un mundo regido por la internacionalización de las relaciones comerciales, donde la empresa privada parece ser la organización ejemplo de eficiencia y de racionalidad, se considera que su funcionamiento debe ser imitado por la universidad. La intención de este trabajo es ver hasta qué punto la relación entre la universidad y el sector productivo es la única válida para su funcionamiento. Asimismo, se hace una breve referencia a las actividades que desarrolla la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Sociales de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata en su relación con el medio.
