Abstract

La pandemia de COVID-19 ha impuesto nuevos y múltiples desafíos a todos los países del mundo. Ante la gran cantidad de desinformación, el conocimiento científico fue más valorado y requerido, pero también cuestionado, poniendo en debate quizás como nunca antes, las etapas del proceso editorial por el que transita una publicación científica, la importancia de una revisión por pares rigurosa y la disposición en forma abierta de la producción. Luego de casi dos años de pandemia, la esperanza de estar transitando su final descansa en gran medida en el trabajo incansable de la comunidad científica y en la calidad de los hallazgos obtenidos. En este marco, cobra mayor relevancia el esfuerzo que vienen realizando no sólo quienes producen el conocimiento, sino también quienes cumplen tareas editoriales y de evaluación en revistas que, como FACES, ponen a disposición de la comunidad en general un conocimiento científico de calidad en forma libre, abierta y gratuita.
